Stockless anchor of USS Truxton (DD-229)

Here we see the stockless anchor on the Clemson class destroyer USS Truxtun (DD-229), withdrawn into its home in the side of the bow. The Truxtun was the only one of the American flushdecker destroyers to have a stockless anchor, the rest having Admiralty type anchors.
